February 2026 Release

We’re excited to share the latest update to Cubed by Law Squared, bringing a refreshed look, smarter insights, and usability improvements across contracts, matters, and dashboards. This release focuses on making Cubed more intuitive, consistent, and powerful for in‑house legal teams.

✨ What’s New

Contracts & Matters

• Clearer contract creation

  The “Upload Contract” button has been renamed to “New Contract” on the contract list screen, making it clearer how to get started.

• Documents tab for contracts

  A new Documents tab is now available on the Contract Details screen, showing related documents such as addendums and schedules directly from the SharePoint library.

• Notes tab for contracts

  Lawyers can now record internal notes against contracts using the new Notes tab on the Contract Details screen.

• Refreshed Matter Details tabs

  The Matter Details screen has been updated with a cleaner, more consistent tab design aligned with the rest of the application.

Settings & Administration

• New look: User Settings

  The User Settings screen has been visually refreshed for improved clarity and usability.

• New look: Licensing settings

  The Licensing tab within Settings has been redesigned to make licence information easier to understand.

• New look: Email Settings

  The Email Settings tab has been updated with a modern layout, improving readability and configuration.

• Embedded Help Centre

  The Help Centre is now embedded directly within Cubed, removing the need to navigate away from the application. The Help Centre is still available at https://help.cubedlegal.com.

Dashboard & Reporting Enhancements

• Matters by Department – new filter

  A new Department filter has been added to the Matters by Department dashboard graph.

• Matters by Assignee – new filter

  You can now filter the Matters by Assignee graph by assignee.

• Value–Complexity Matrix enhancements

  The bubble graph has been renamed to Value‑Complexity Matrix. Added period filters: Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days, Last 365 Days, Year to Date, Last Year

• Improved dashboard performance

  The Matters Over Time graph now loads faster and performs more efficiently.

• Updated dashboard colours

  Matter statistics cards have been updated to align with assigned colour schemes for better visual consistency.

• Clearer currency labelling

  Currency fields now display both the currency symbol and code (e.g. $AUD, £GBP), based on your Power Platform environment.

🛠 Bug Fixes & Improvements

• Cleaner navigation

  Removed blank items from the left‑hand menu when options are unavailable (e.g. unlicensed features or role restrictions).

• Improved currency fields

  Currency fields now support 1 or 2 decimal places, rather than requiring whole numbers only.
